Here it's the other way round. You see the profiles, you choose, and you speak to her before anything is agreed. You're paying for access and control rather than for somebody else's choice.
The process
1. Choose a plan
Pick the plan that covers the kind of help you need and how long you want access for. Maid plans start at ₹7,500 for three months. See all plans.
2. Browse the profiles
Filter by district, by the kind of work, and by availability: full-time, part-time, live-in or night duty. Each profile shows her experience, the languages she speaks, and the work she's done before.
Take your time with this part. Reading five profiles properly is more useful than skimming fifty.
3. Call her yourself
Her contact comes with your plan. Call her, talk to her in Malayalam or whatever language suits you both, and ask what matters to your household.
A few questions that tell you a lot: What kind of house do you work in now? What does a normal day look like there? Why are you looking for a change? A person who answers specifically is usually a better hire than one who says yes to everything.
For nursing and care, add: what cases have you handled, and what would you do if the patient's condition changed during the night?
4. Meet her
Arrange to meet before she starts, ideally at your house. For childcare, meet her with your child there. For elderly care, with your parent there. You'll learn more in twenty minutes in person than in any number of phone calls.
5. Agree the terms directly
Salary, hours, days off, and for live-in arrangements the room and meals. Agree it all before she starts, specifically. Most arrangements that fail do so because of something nobody said out loud at the start.
We don't set the salary and we take nothing from it. You pay her directly each month.
6. If it doesn't work out, choose again
Domestic arrangements change. She moves district, something happens at home, or it just isn't the right fit. Go back to the profiles and pick again. Your plan is still running, and there's no fresh commission.
Why you pay before you speak to anyone
This is the fair question and it deserves a straight answer.
The subscription pays for access to the profiles and direct contact. Once you have someone's number, you can reach her with or without us, so the model only works if access is paid for upfront.
What you get in return is that you're never paying per hire. An agency's commission is paid every single time someone is placed. The subscription is paid once, whether you hire on the second day or the fortieth, and whether you hire once or three times.
If you hire one person and she stays all year, a commission might have been cheaper. If the arrangement changes even once, the subscription wins, and in domestic work it usually does. The numbers are on the pricing page.
How profiles are checked
Whatever we check, do your own checks as well, especially for childcare and for anyone living in your home. Call a previous employer. Meet her in person. Run a short trial if you can. Any good candidate will expect this and won't mind it.
What we do and what we don't
Being clear about this avoids disappointment later.
We do: check profiles before they're listed, give you direct access to staff across Kerala, and keep the process free of placement commissions.
We don't: choose staff for you, set salaries, or guarantee that a particular person will be available on a particular date.
If you're arranging this from abroad
The process works the same from Dubai, London or Toronto as from Kochi. Browse at whatever hour suits you, call her directly, and have your parents or a relative on the call.
Two things to sort before she starts: a local contact who can be at the house quickly if needed, and a fixed arrangement for paying her salary each month.

Frequently asked questions
How do I hire a maid without an agent?
Take a plan, browse the profiles, call the person yourself, and agree the terms directly with her. No one sits in between and there's no commission.
Can I talk to her before hiring?
Yes, and you should. Her contact comes with your plan, and meeting her in person before she starts is strongly recommended.
Who pays her salary?
You do, directly, each month. We take nothing from it.
What if she doesn't turn up?
Go back to the profiles and choose someone else. Your plan is still running. It's also why calling two or three people rather than one is worth doing at the start.
