What the escort does
- Meets your parent at home at the agreed time
- Accompanies them to the hospital
- Handles the OP registration, token and counter queues
- Helps them to the consultation room, scan or lab as needed
- Waits with them through the appointment
- Listens to the doctor's instructions and notes them down
- Collects prescribed medicines from the pharmacy
- Sees them safely home
- Calls you afterwards with what the doctor said
That last point is usually the reason families book it. An older patient reports back "the doctor said it's fine". The escort reports back what the doctor actually said, what was prescribed, and when the next appointment is.
What this is not
It isn't a hospital bystander. A bystander stays with a patient who has been admitted, often overnight, for days at a time. A medical escort accompanies someone to an outpatient appointment and brings them home the same day.
If your family member is being admitted, you want a bystander. If they have an appointment, you want this.

Pricing
Flat rates, no subscription required. Most routine outpatient appointments fit comfortably inside 4 hours. Book the 8-hour slot where there are scans, multiple departments, or a long waiting time expected at a busy government hospital.
Booking
As a general rule, book at least a day ahead where you can. Same-day requests depend on who's free.
Arranging this from abroad
If you're working in the Gulf and your parents are in Kochi, this is probably the simplest useful thing on this site. One appointment, one fixed price, no subscription, and a call afterwards telling you what the doctor said.
